The success of IFP School is based on close proximity with the industry in the energy and transport sectors and on an original educational model that delivers knowledge, know-how and interpersonal skills.
Experts from the world of industry
Every year, more than 400 professionals from the worlds of applied research and business provide part of IFP School's teaching (courses, practical work, projects). In addition, for apprentices, the school/company work-study program allows them to acquire skills as close as possible to the jobs for which our students are destined. Our partners also provide us with real data, which allows us to develop case studies and industrial projects in order to prepare our students for the realities of professional life.
Experience to be immediately operational
IFP School's pedagogy is based largely on the Learning by doing philosophy, which advocates experience for a better acquisition of knowledge and skills. Field internships, real cases, serious games, virtual reality, entrepreneurship module, use of industrial software... our innovative training helps make students immediately operational. The mix within each class of French and foreign students, apprentices or already experienced, also makes it possible to develop professional skills in line with the diversity of the world of work.
Network building activities
Four professional associations in the energy sector have a student chapter within IFP School. They organize conferences on strategic topics and take part in major events that bring together decision-makers in the sector:
- the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)
- the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE)
- the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
