On November 3rd, the School launched IFP School Voices, its series of webinars to explore the latest trends and innovations in the energy and powertrains sectors.
Mr. Vincent Baril (RIG 1984), Chairman of Shell France and General Manager for Sustainable Chemicals, opened the series with a conference on carbon neutrality: "Shell's Sky Scenario: meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement".
More than 230 IFP School graduates and students registered for the event. 122 followed it and actively took part in Mr. Baril's presentation.
IFP School Voices is a new service launched by the School and dedicated exclusively to its graduates and students. The webinars are free and usually take place on the first Tuesday of each month via Zoom.
The second webinar scheduled on December 8th with Mr. Jean-Marie Laigle (GOL 2004), CEO of Belmont Technology, also generated considerable interest by addressing the impact of big data and artificial intelligence in the exploration of sedimentary basins.
Our next guest will be Mr. Xavier Milcent (EGE 1994), on January 7th, 2021 at 6:00 pm. He will address the innovative approaches of the plastics industry in the production and recycling of its products, in order to meet societal and regulatory ambitions for a more circular economy.
