IFP School took first place in the European SPE Petrobowl Regional Qualifiers, held on March 13 at the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
The qualified team comprises six students from the class of 2024: Delfina Calderoli (Petroleum Engineering and Project Development, PEPD), Abd Elaziz Chiboub Fellah (PEPD), Hajar Ibrahim(Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering, RGE), Abdullah Mohammed (RGE), Nicolas Pastore (RGE) and Aliona Potilitsina (Petroleum Geosciences, PGS).
They will compete against the world's top 31 teams in the final round, to be held from September 23 to 25, 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
To qualify, our students answered a series of technical and general questions about the oil and gas industry as quickly as possible.
"The challenge brought together 11 European teams. We won first place, followed by Ploiesti University (Romania) and Heriot-Watt University (UK). Now we're gearing up for the global competition," says Nicolas Pastore.
This is the third year in a row that an IFP School team has reached the Petrobowl final.
Congratulations to our students on this outstanding performance!
