Three students from the Powertrain Engineering and Energy and Markets programs have just spent two months at the Ohio State University in the United States.
Loïc Balland and Baptiste Griseri, enrolled in the Energy and Markets program, spent two months within the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering at the Ohio State University where they worked on a research project that aims at understanding and modeling the economics of the vertical integration strategies observed in the natural gas and electricity sectors.
They underline that their “ability to be quickly operational on complex matters has been appreciated”; ability acquired “in the ENM curriculum of IFP School where students are given the technical skills to interact on advanced gas and power market models in a research environment”.
Paul Georgian Luca, a student from the Powertrain Engineering program, worked there on a research project about fuel evaporation modeling. This two-month graduate exchange program also gave him a chance to learn from other passionate students involved in projects at the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) such as, for example, the Formula SAE.
Paul Georgian Luca says he has acquired “autonomy and also valuable new skills about time and project management”. The multicultural environment in which he studied also helped him broaden his view and his network. Paul Georgian Luca now encourages “all qualified students to take advantage of this great opportunity offered by IFP School”.
This international mobility experience is offered by IFP School to students with four years of higher education, as part of a double-degree program, in liaison with its partner universities around the world.
If you would like to enjoy this type of opportunity and develop a high-flying career in the energy and sustainable mobility sector, why not apply for one of our specialized programs for engineers!
