A team of 5 students from the Petroleum Geosciences and Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering programs was selected from among the 6 finalist teams for the 2019 edition of the Laurie Dake Challenge organized by the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).
They will participate in the final phase of the competition, which will take place on June 2 in London, during the 81st Annual EAGE Conference and Exhibition, alongside prestigious teams from the University of Stavanger, Dalhousie University, Teknologi Bandung Institute, Instituto Mexicano del Petroleo, and Petroleum University of Technology.
The Laurie Dake Challenge, previously called the FIELD Challenge, pits 10 active student sections of the EAGE selected from around the world against each other. Participants must analyze and propose a field development plan, based on the same data set, provided each year by a different company. BP is the sponsor of the 2019 edition.
Congratulations to the students of the EAGE Student Chapter of IFP School: Damarys Castillo, Diego Potenzoni, Floriane Mortier, Grégory Barrère and Serugue Santiago!
