With the support of the Sustainable Campus Initiative group supervised by Sidney Lambert-Lalitte, the Student Office of the 2022 Class created a new club with the same name: "Sustainable Campus Initiative". This club has seven members: Oumalkaire Ali Mohamed (ENEP, Djibouti), Clarisse Delaune (ENM, France), Nicolas Diaz (RGE, Spain), Agathe Duplessy (ETEM, France), Mathilde Haemmerlein (RGE, France), Marwa Shmeis (RGE, Lebanon) and Daniel Sejas (RGE, Bolivia).
To get off to a strong start, the club organized a clothing drive in collaboration with the IFP School EAGE Student Chapter and the SPE Student Chapter in support of Emmaüs Nanterre Center. This first operation took place from May 30 to June 10, 2022 on the Rueil-Malmaison campus. Many students and staff members of the School replied to this call for solidarity.
Mathilde Haemmerlein explains how this beautiful initiative started: "The idea came to me because an association at my former school organized this type of clothing drive. Moreover, I am used to giving my clothes (and other things) to charities. I proposed the idea to the team; we put all our ideas together and selected the ones we liked best. The clothing drive was chosen as our first project. Among the charities closest to IFP School that we contacted, the Emmaüs Center in Nanterre responded to us and showed interest: that's how our project became a reality!"
A total of 60 kilos of clothes were collected in two weeks. The club team would like to thank all the donors for their gifts and the Management of the School congratulates this new Club for paving the way for solidarity. Its members will not have time to complete other projects before the summer, but they will pass on the flame to the next class of 2023 ?.
