Perrine Babin has been appointed Program Supervisor in September 2022. She joined IFP School in 2018 as a lecturer at the Processes for energy and chemicals Center.
Perrine teaches in the field of chemistry and polymers, through introductory courses on chemical and polymer industries, technical courses on polymers, or techno-economic studies of chemical plants.
As part of IFP School’s Energy Transition program, she contributed to the MOOC “Energy Transition: Innovation Towards a Low-Carbon Future”. She also teaches in the field of bio-sourced polymers.
Very involved in the development of soft skills, she organizes events such as the Challenge Innov’Action and leads a common module dedicated to the sharing of experience.
Perrine began her career at Arkema in 2006 as Laboratory Manager at CERDATO, Arkema’s polymers research center.
She then became Development Manager for the high performance bio-sourced polyamides line for the Sports & Leisure, Textiles and Electronics markets.
In 2012, she was appointed Product Development Manager for the new Oléris® line based on castor oil chemistry.
In 2015, she joined the Belgian chemical group Solvay and the Strategy Department of the Polyamides Business Unit.
Perrine holds an engineering degree and a Research Master’s degree in Chemistry and Physics and Chemistry of polymers. She has a PhD on Structure-property relationships of alveolar bio-polymers.
