Passionate about research, teaching and partnerships with industrial and academic circles, Ouafae El Ganaoui-Mourlan joined IFP School in 2011. She is now Supervisor at IFP School of the Research oriented Master in Electrification of Automotive Propulsion. Ouafae supervised the Powertrain Engineering program from 2012 and 2022. In 2019, she was named co-holder of the Chair "Electric, connected and autonomous vehicle for smart mobility". Ouafae has published a dozen scientific papers in the field of nuclear energy, scientific calculations and fluid mechanics.
She began her career at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in 1999 to study the distribution of radioactivity in French aquatic environments.
She joined IFP Energies nouvelles in 2002 for her post-doctorate studies on RANS and LES modelling of jets for diesel engines in collaboration with the laboratory of Applied Mathematics of the University Paris VI.
After this experience, she jointed PSA Peugeot Citroën group where she held three senior positions between 2004 and 2011: first as specialist of numerical modelling in the field of combustion, then as head of mechanical engine architecture and finally as head of mission of industrial audit.
Since 2007, she organizes a session focused on cold start and emissions for the SAE International Congress in the United States. These experiences have allowed her to establish an international network of professionals in the industrial and academic circles from which she hopes to draw upon for the benefit of IFP School.
Engineer from the École Centrale de Marseille, Ouafae has a PhD in Fluid Mechanics from the University of Aix Marseille II.
