On May 25, IFP School hosted a conference organized by EVOLEN's PIME (Plateformes Industrielles MultiEnergies) committee on the new vectors for decarbonizing and transforming industrial platforms.
The conference was aimed at young engineers from the committee's partner companies: Axens, IFP Energies nouvelles, INEOS, Technip Energies and TotalEnergies. Laetitia Salessy, Director of the IFP School Processes for Energy and Chemicals Center and Chair of the PIME committee, opened the event. It was also a great opportunity for the public to discover or learn more about EVOLEN's activities.
This event was an opportunity to discuss the latest investments made by the process sector in decarbonization and the production of low-carbon energies. Indeed, refining and petrochemical sites are becoming multi-energy platforms, using innovative sustainable technologies (process electrification, CCUS, decarbonized hydrogen, low-carbon fuels including e-fuels).
IFP School would like to thank Veronique Hervouet (TotalEnergies), Herve Lavieu (Axens / Heurtey Petrochem Solutions), Santos-Moreau Vania (IFP Energies nouvelles) and Julien Tigani (Technip Energies) for their contributions and exchanges on technical issues with the School's students.
