On October 13th and 14th, IFP School will take part in the EVOLEN Annual Days, specifically in two virtual workshops dedicated to natural hydrogen and negative CO2 emissions.
The workshop on natural hydrogen is organized by Eric Deville, Professor and lecturer-researcher at IFP School's Georesources and Energy Center. It will take place from 11:30 am to 1 pm on October 14th.
It will be an opportunity for Omar Maiga, PhD student at IFP School, to present his work on the geological and 3D geophysical characterization of a natural hydrogen reservoir system in Mali.
Similarly, Nicolas Pelissier, a graduate of the Petroleum Geosciences program (GOL, 2007) and President of the start-up 45-8 Energy, will address the issue of industrial hydrogen production.
Jean-Pierre Deflandre, co-holder of the CarMa Chair and Professor at the IFP School's Georesources and Energy Center, will chair the workshop entitled "Negative CO2 emissions: myth or reality by 2050?", which will take place from 4:15 pm to 5:45 pm on October 13th.
Finally, the EVOLEN Refining, Petrochemicals, Products, Biofuels (RPPB) Committee, chaired by Christine Travers, Dean of IFP School, will offer a workshop on October 22nd from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. entitled "The transformation of the industry through the multiple lives of plastics".
