IFP School's latest free and certified MOOC, entitled "Energy Transition: Innovating for a Low-Carbon Future", supported by the Total Foundation and the Tuck Foundation, was a great success. It took place from March 18 to May 6 and had 25,834 registrations!
"With international participation in 130 countries and 81.5% of participants under 36 years of age, we have achieved the objective we set ourselves, namely to raise awareness among students and young professionals of the challenges of the energy transition on all continents," summarizes Jean-Pierre Deflandre, project manager. "There is even a very high participation of learners from the African continent and, in particular, from countries that have traditionally produced hydrocarbons, which are now in rapid development. In France, the participation of students from some 60 renowned high schools and universities is also on the rise. " The certification rate even reached 26.4%.
The 19.3% certification rate recorded by the MOOC, well above the average rate of 7%, shows a very high level of awareness and interest in the innovations in the sector that will accompany the energy mix in the coming years.
