At the end of 2018, IFP School launched its latest MOOC dedicated to sustainable technologies for the automotive sector. Designed in partnership with IFP Training and Vedecom, this free course attracted nearly 5,000 learners, 65% of whom were international participants from 106 countries and 25% students.
"The automotive sector is constantly changing, under pressure from increasingly stringent emission standards," explains Maria Thirouard, project manager. "This is why we wanted to provide a broad spectrum of knowledge to students and young professionals: the environmental and legislative framework, the advantages and limitations of the various electric and hybrid engines, autonomous driving and new forms of mobility".
Learners were particularly impressed by the MOOC's various pedagogical innovations, which included Professor Otto's common thread, serious games and virtual reality. The completion rate of this course was 20%, well above the average market rate of 7%.
