3rd edition of the MOOC on Energy Transition: a new success

The 3rd edition of IFP School’s MOOC “Energy Transition: innovation towards a low-carbon future”, which ran from March 8th to April 10th, 2021, in partnership with the Total Foundation and with the support of the Fondation Tuck, attracted 11,430 participants! Here is a look back at these 5 weeks of collective learning.

A course on carbon management created at ITBA by an IFP School student

Augusto Correnti, a soon-to-be graduate of IFP School's Reservoir Geoscience and Engineering (RGE) program (class of 2020), has created a course on carbon management and negative emissions technologies at his university in Argentina.

Bernard Clément, a graduate of IFP School's Geophysics program (the predecessor of the Petroleum Geosciences program, class of 1982), has just been appointed Director General of EVOLEN, the French association of companies and professionals working in the energy sector.

A team of four teachers from IFP School is participating from April 23rd to May 23rd in the Solidarity Challenge, organized by the association Special Olympics France and aiming to change the way society views mental disabilities.

45-8 Energy, a start-up led by Nicolas Pelissier, a graduate of IFP School, supported by the French Recovery Plan

The start-up 45-8 Energy, dedicated to the exploration of helium and hydrogen and headed by Nicolas Pelissier, an IFP School graduate, has just been selected by the French government as a winner of the French Recovery Plan for Industry.

Zoom on the virtual reality module dedicated to the start-up of an industrial pump
